Creating Exceptional Blog Content
Unlock the secrets to harnessing search engines for a substantial surge in website traffic through one key element: “Quality Content.”
Major search engines like Google, BING, and Yahoo highly favor content.
When crafting content, prioritize your audience. Remember, real people are consuming your content, so emphasize delivering relevance and interest. Write with your readers in mind, not solely for search engines.
Ensure your content is easily digestible. In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, lengthy paragraphs resembling novels are less appealing to modern readers. Opt for concise ideas presented in short paragraphs.
Keep in mind: Your goal is audience engagement, which ultimately drives conversions and marks the point where your revenue starts to flow.
Here are six components that make up a high-quality page or post:
Use concise paragraphs.
Differentiate your ideas with heading tabs (h3 or h4).
Choose black or dark grey text on a white background.
Embrace conversational language.
Craft a compelling headline.
Incorporate relevant images.
Above all, write naturally—communicate with your audience as if you were speaking to them in person!
Before proceeding, let’s discuss the importance of Affiliate and Earnings Disclaimer. Many individuals have queried whether these disclaimers are necessary. The unequivocal answer is yes, you do need them. Moreover, if you are an affiliate, the FTC mandates their presence on your site. Wondering where to find them? It’s quite simple.
I have an Affiliate and Earnings Disclaimer on my site that you can replicate. Just insert your salutation at the end and, if necessary, modify or add the word “We” where applicable.
If you’re considering registering for an Amazon Associates Account (referred to as Associates by Amazon), it’s advisable to include their disclaimer too: Amazon is looking for a proper disclosure as outlined in Amazon’s affiliate disclosure policy. This is different than what the FTC looks for.
In my personal belief, having the Affiliate and Earnings Disclaimer page required by the FTC was sufficient. However, I was mistaken. Amazon requires a specific statement for Amazon Associates.
It needs to be displayed as outlined below and positioned on your website:
Ensure that it’s also positioned in a noticeable and accessible location!
[Insert your name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to [insert the applicable site name (amazon.com or myhabit.com)].
Amazon will revoke access to a blogger’s affiliate account if you do not comply with their Affiliate Program Disclosure. Better be safe than sorry don’t you think?
